The Zebra Crossing

In Thailand bigger goes first, so when you cross the road you better beware. That motorcycle racing towards you thinks it has right of way. And of course the motorcycle has to give right of way to the car, and so forth. It’s street law. I’m still amazed after all these years how pedestrians will obediently come to a standstill when a security guard blows his whistle to let a car through. I take advantage of this myself when I’m in a rush to get to the gay Asian places on soi Twilight.
